Getting-dressed words in French, two of them starting with CH

Six French words for clothes are hidden across and down this grid: CHEMISE for a shirt, PANTALON for trousers, CHAUSSURE for a shoe, TABLIER for an apron, CARDIGAN, and UNIFORME. Pictures beside the grid carry the meaning, so a child can look at the shoe, find the word that names it, and circle it without needing any translation. Clothes make a sensible first set, since a child puts them on every morning.

CHEMISE and CHAUSSURE both open with the same two letters, which slows the search in a useful way: a child who spots that opening has to read on before deciding which word they have. CARDIGAN is spelled exactly as in English and UNIFORME almost so, so those two come easily. CHAUSSURE, at nine letters with a double s, takes patience. TABLIER is the one children rarely know already, so read it aloud before they start.
