Symmetry Drawing: Complete the Mirror Picture

This Grade 2 symmetry worksheet shows four pictures made of colored squares on a pixel grid — but each picture is only half finished. A coral line runs through the middle as the mirror. The child studies the completed half, finds each colored square's mirror position on the other side of the line, and colors it in, square by square, until both halves of the picture match perfectly.

Completing a mirror image square by square is geometry you can touch. The child discovers that a reflection keeps distances — a square two steps from the line reflects to exactly two steps on the other side — and that left and right swap while up and down hold still. That is genuine spatial reasoning, practiced with a crayon.
