What this sheet practises
Six problems where the child counts the pictured objects, then adds a written number. All numbers stay within 10, so children can work from counting or from known number facts. One quantity is a numeral rather than a picture, which is where counting-on begins rather than counting everything. The pictures are Grill, Baseball, French Fries, Hot Dog, Cake and Watermelon.
4 + 3, 4 + 1, 2 + 1, 2 + 1, 3 + 5, 4 + 2.
Using it in class
Suited to a math center or independent work, with counters or a number line within reach.
An answer key is included, and the browser version checks each answer as the child works.
