What this sheet practises
Six problems where the child counts the pictured objects, then adds a written number. All numbers stay within 10, so children can work from counting or from known number facts. One quantity is a numeral rather than a picture, which is where counting-on begins rather than counting everything. The pictures are Fish, Tree, Rain, Flower, Leaf and Umbrella.
4 + 4, 3 + 4, 4 + 3, 3 + 1, 2 + 5, 3 + 4.
Using it in class
Works for early finishers or as morning work, since it practises something already taught.
An answer key is included, and the browser version checks each answer as the child works.
