Parts of the Body Worksheet
Parts of the Body
One line-drawn child stands in the middle of this kindergarten page. Six small coral rings sit on the figure and a leader line runs from each one out to a dashed box with handwriting rules inside it. A word bank across the top carries the six words the boxes want: eye, arm, hand, foot, elbow and ear. The child reads a word, follows the line back to the ring it belongs to, and copies the word on to the ruled box at the other end.
Copying rather than spelling is the point at this level, so the bank is closed and every word is used exactly once. The ruled boxes are three-line handwriting rules, not blank space, which keeps the letters the right height while the attention is on the matching. Two of the six markers sit on the same arm, one on the upper arm for arm and one lower down for elbow, so the child cannot work by limb alone and has to follow the line to the end.
One sheet, one figure, six words. This is the naming page of the body family and the one to print first, because the other faces assume the six words are already familiar. The figure is drawn in plain outline, so it prints cleanly in black and white, and a child who finishes early can colour it. Keep the word bank visible while they write.
