Healthy Habits Chart
Healthy Habits Chart for the Week
A week runs across the top of this 1st grade chart, Sunday to Saturday, and five habits run down the side, each with a small picture: brush teeth, wash hands, move, drink water and go to sleep early. That makes 35 empty boxes. Each day the child puts a check in the box for every habit they did. There is nothing to get right or wrong; the page is a tracker, the kind children take home on Friday and bring back the next week.
A habit is something done again and again, and a chart makes the again and again visible. By Thursday children can see which rows are filling and which are not, and the gaps start the conversation better than any worksheet question. The five habits are the same ones the rest of the healthy habits family teaches, so the chart works as the follow-up to any of them. Move covers any active play, which keeps it fair for every child.
One sheet for one week. The last row asks about going to sleep early, not just sleeping, so agree as a class what early means before children tick it. Send it home with a short note to families, or keep it in the classroom and check the school-day habits together each morning. Print a fresh copy each week; comparing two weeks side by side is where the learning happens.
