Alphabet Maze
Lowercase Letter Maze a to z: Swim Home Under the Sea
Under the sea, a clownfish starts at the green circle and swims toward a coral at the far end of the reef. Its way is a channel of clear water dotted with round bubbles, and every bubble carries a small letter. The right road passes the lowercase alphabet in order, from a to z. Around the reef you can find an octopus, a jellyfish, a starfish, a crab, a sea horse and seaweed.
Lowercase letters are where many young readers trip, because several of them are mirror images: b and d, p and q. This maze places those traps on purpose. Where b is the next letter on the right road, a d often waits on the wrong one, so a child has to look at the shape, not just at a round letter with a stick. Saying each letter aloud while choosing helps, and so does writing the tricky pairs once on the side of the page before starting.
The page prints as a PDF, works as a screen version where the child drags the clownfish from bubble to bubble and presses Check, and comes with an answer key showing the a to z road in colour. In the same family, the rocket maze practises the capital letters, and the honeycomb hop asks for the order starting in the middle of the alphabet. These are picture mazes with a story; square-grid mazes, dot-to-dot and word sorting have their own pages.
