Lowercase Letter Tracing s to z on Three-Line Paper

This kindergarten lowercase letter tracing worksheet finishes the alphabet with s to z — eight small letters on three-line paper. Most of them are body-height, the t rises part of the way up, and the y sends a tail below the baseline. The child traces each dashed letter from the orange starting dot, follows the arrows, and writes the last one on every row unaided.

The end of the alphabet is where the diagonal strokes gather. The v, w, x, y and z are all built from straight lines meeting at an angle, and an angled line is harder for a young hand than an upright or a curve: it has no edge of the paper to run alongside and no circle to close. Meeting five of them together is useful, because the same control serves all five. Two letters here also break their own rules. The t is not a full tall letter — it stops short of the top line, and drawing it at full height is one of the most common early mistakes. The s reverses direction twice in a single stroke, which is why it is often the last letter a child masters.
