The Wobble Museum — Stick to the Topic (Kindergarten Writing)

About this activity

Each room in Bram the magpie's museum is about ONE thing — frogs, the moon, fire trucks, rain — but a label keeps wandering in from another room. The child reads the four facts and taps the one that does not belong, like "Stop signs are red" in the fire-truck room. It's a free, interactive Kindergarten writing activity that plays right in the browser, with no sign-up.

The big idea is keeping an informative piece on topic. The odd fact is always true, which is what makes it tricky — it just belongs to a different subject. To find it, the child has to notice what every other fact is about and ask whether the new label is really about the same thing. That is the same judgment a young writer uses to keep an All-About book focused on its topic.

It is aligned to Common Core W.K.2 — composing informative writing that names a topic and supplies information about it. No timer, no score — just calm, playful practice.
