About this activity
A prompt names a shape — circle, square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, oval, star, diamond, heart, or pentagon — and the child finds it by sight, tapping it from four pictured choices. It's a free, interactive Kindergarten geometry activity that runs right in the browser on a tablet, phone, or classroom computer, with nothing to install and no sign-up.
The big idea is that a shape is the same shape no matter how it is turned or how big it is drawn. A triangle tipped on its point or a tiny square is still a triangle and still a square, so the child has to recognize the form itself, not a single 'textbook' picture of it. The three wrong choices are other real shapes from the set, so a child cannot win by picking the only shape on the board — they have to know which name belongs to which figure.
It is aligned to Common Core K.G.A.2 — correctly naming shapes regardless of their orientation or overall size. No timer, no score — just calm, playful practice.
