About this activity

Quill the hedgehog trades only for the opposite, so children tap the word that means the reverse — black to white, up to down, push to pull, big to small, hot to cold — with a small picture riding along with each word. It's a free, interactive Kindergarten antonyms game that plays right in the browser with no account.

The wrong choices are tempting on purpose: a 'friend' from the same family (red next to black) or something unrelated, so the child has to find the true other end, not just a related word. Some rounds flip a whole bedtime scene — sun to moon, lamp on to off, door open to closed — so opposites show up in everyday situations.
