Letter Tracing Worksheet
Letter Tracing G to L on Handwriting Lines
This letter tracing worksheet picks up the alphabet at G and carries it through L — the capitals G, H, I, J, K and L, each on its own handwriting line. The child traces the dashed models one by one, and every line saves its final spot for the real test: an empty space where the letter is written alone, no dashes, no guide. Six letters, six little rows of practice, six solo finishes.
This middle stretch of the alphabet is a quiet turning point. G asks for a curve that stops and comes back in — the first capital that does not simply flow to its end. K brings the alphabet's first genuinely tricky diagonals, two slanted strokes that must meet the upright at just the right spot. Around them sit H, I, J and L, friendly straight-line letters that give the hand a rest between challenges. That mix is what makes the set work: effort, relief, effort, relief. And because the child has left the famous ABC opening behind, this page is where letter practice stops being a song they know and becomes real letter-by-letter craftsmanship.
Print the PDF free and give G and K a second lap on another day — they earn it. The journey continues with letter tracing M to R, and if the child is still warming up, the big letters A to D page is a gentler on-ramp to come back to.
