Find the Differences Worksheet
Find 7 Differences at the Pond
Seven differences on one sheet, split across two pond scenes. The left pair shows a turtle by the pond with four changes between its top and bottom pictures; the right pair shows an alligator with three. Each pair has its own row of tick boxes underneath, 4 and 3, so a child who finishes one scene can see it is complete before starting the other. The four pictures share the same sky props, which is why the index tabs 1 and 2 matter: compare top with bottom inside a pair, never left with right. This grade-1 page is the seven-differences page of the find-the-differences family.
Seven is the count many European puzzle books use, and this page earns it with smaller changes than the kindergarten pages: on the copy shown a hummingbird has turned round, a butterfly is gone, a tulip has shrunk, a cloud has grown and a mushroom is smaller. The child has to scan the whole picture rather than spot the one big thing, and the two pairs mean two fresh starts on one sheet.
The PDF prints the two pairs side by side; on a tablet the tap screen stacks the four pictures with the same 1 and 2 badges and a bar between the pairs, and the answer key rings the seven changes with numbers. The ten-differences page uses the same two-pair layout for the hardest version. These pages compare two pictures of one scene; mirror drawing, colouring by number and odd-one-out puzzles have their own pages.
