About this activity

A large numeral appears with a starting dot, and the child traces each stroke in order — the long line down for 1, the curve-and-foot for 2, the two bumps of 3 — to form every digit from 0 to 9 neatly. The big idea is that a numeral is built from strokes made in a particular order, not drawn any-which-way.
