About this activity

Rivet the raccoon turns loose treasure — acorns, buttons, fireflies, marbles — into collector cards, and the child counts the pack (even an empty one, which is zero) then forges the numeral that says how many. It's a free, interactive Kindergarten counting-and-writing activity that runs in the browser with no account.

The numeral is built from the very things being counted, so writing the number is tied to the count, not separated from it. The rounds keep the thinking fresh: count and forge, handle an empty pack as zero, count only the acorns mixed in among other objects, fix a card that claims the wrong number, build the matching pack, and even work backward — read a numeral like 7 and show that many.
